Friday We had a terible storm last night suddenly a huge red flash and a sound ike a bomb took me back to the war thought I was in London again then I came to and saw all thje streaky lighting  i hate lightning I dont mins the bangs I switched all the electrics off there was a drizzle of rain  then after a few more bangs it all went qyuiet again funny thing Gill came in this morning  she said they had no storm maybe it is because I am close to the mountains that surround Adelaide only 2 ways out to get into another State. So I took 2 more sleepimg pills but I kept waking up  It is sticky and cloudy today but not so hot Gill did some errands for me it is Jeff's birthday today and i got her to get me some Xmas cards and post a parcel. So I am set up now for my Tuesday appointment  so i am getting nervous as I haven't met the person who is taking me and my quack said take a book  you will be there a long time i hope not as I shall have to ask to lie down somewhere as I cannot sit for too long. That will upset them  I feel really nervous as it is a long time since I have been back to this hospital since that Pfoffessor shout3ed at me  and I cancelled all my appointments and all because I gave him a little note asking a question I( have never seen a doctor act so weirdly i hope they don't shove me over to him again. So0 not much news thanks for replies  Have a happy day I received a card from Josaju today my first Xmas one I am all behind but got Gillian to buy something for me  and get a padded envelope to send a gift to someone I find thet the hardest as I can order food but cant get to Post Office I can order anything on internet  but I dont do that often I am waffling again I must beaway Love Marj

Wednesday Our weather  has cooled a bit  but  I think they said today and tomorrow will be hot again then hopefully if they are correct much cooler for several days of course they are seldom right. Doctor came in last evening  gave me 4 scripts I needed, listened to chest and heart, said seems O.K. and seemed surprised .I said goof enough for an op if they want to do one  when I go  next Tuesdaym he said no I said no when i am supposed to be so alright so he said I suppose you could I ask you what am I to think not that i want an op especially before Xmas not that it would be that quick he said take a book you will have a long wait and dont forget to take your X rays well i hope I won t be there for hours I am making mysel get dresed each day and just hope Tuesday morning I am fit to go. At least I wake up early so must try i am wondering who is going to take me old or young all I know is her name Joanne and she isn't coming until 9.15 so I shall have to be ready to  step out door as appointment is 9/30 I hate those early appointments I dont come too until midday. Still what cant be cured must be endured as my old Dad used to say. So I have not much news for a change the doctor looked at all my bits and pieces and photos I said about a lot of them being from friends on here only I didn't say its name dont want him looking up what i write about him at times of course I always give him Wine at Xmas  I was thinking of giving him 2 this year as I got those others 12 bottles really cheap th rough my bank sending about things i wish they would hurry uo and send me another bnefore Xmas as not every one wants wine and I would like to see what offers there are for other thibgs i am now a member of cellar masters  and they sent me a free $29 voucher their wines are still cheaper but not as cheap as that 12 I got throught the bank lot even with a $20 voucher, Pity i don't drink i would love to try the wines out but as I never did like wine expect if i did drink again i would go back to my Brandy with dry ginger as that was the only one I ever really took to and drank enough during the war  they say drinking  alcohol early  leads to all sorts of things well thats all we did in the war when i was in the W.A.A.F.s as we all conrgegated, in Pubs whichever  place i was stationed and i moved a lot. Sunday  2.PM have not been on since last post as our weather has not changed apparently it is going to go down later on today and so far their is no sun but still hot so i have been living in a darkened room with the A/Con on until 10.00pm at night then I have laid on top of bed. So unusual at this time of the year and we are the worst hit state they say a change is coming  late today so I may be able to get back to normal tomorrow it is debilitating  having to live like this I have managed to open doors early at 6.0-0 am each morning to change the air round but it quickly warms up  I know we usually get more heat than the other lower down States but this so early is gruesome. I have had my fill of television  and keep dropping off for half an hour now and again I hope it doesn't go back up for Tuesday the 24th as my day for the hospital I have an early morning appointment got to leave here at 9.15  one of my bad times still I have got to get there. Luckily I have been waking up at 5.40 so should give me time to come to. I have a new lady called Joanne taking me I have never met her and she is coming at 9.15 so not much time but to say hello as i am only 10 minutes drive from the hospital  hope she comes in with me.  I am not expecting miracles as I know they are going to mention operations and I will have to say no I think  hoping that if they cant do the  taking out of fluid or give me any injections they will get me into the doctor I am booked into for March sooner so will keep my fingers crossed aleways keep my legs crossed cos my Mum taugght me as a little gfirl to always do that I never knew why then  and guess I never did think about it until i got older. Parents do say funny things to their childre trying to warn them without frightening them Well thats it folks I have no other news my next door neighbour has not moved in yet its a man and I guess the heat has put him off he has grey hair and is already moaning about the trafic which I have got used to and saying he is going to plant bushes all along the front well he has a hjuge tree which almost touches his house and lots of other smaller ones so I dont think it will help with the traffic noise its only early morning workers and the same in evenings  as this is a long street which has a bus and goes through 3 suburbs if not 4 I am used to it no this heat has kept them all away.
